本冊的課程以10歲至12歲學生的同理心為出發點，整合《美洲華語》十二個主題和STEM的元素，編寫成十課貼近生活、詼諧有趣並具有勵志性的童詩、課文和故事，如：字的對話、摘蘋果與老人院、感恩節說笑話與大遊行、我不姓王與馬馬虎虎、包餃子與石頭湯、春曉與垃圾哪裡去了、聰明藥與神農氏、行星、地球、北極星與指南針、西遊記-大鬧天宮等。

1. 訓練學生講故事為第一目標：要能講課本中的十個故事。

2. 訓練學生朗讀：要能朗讀課文中的古詩和短文。

3. 訓練學生閱讀：能夠流利地讀課文(無漢語拼音)。

4. 生字詞的學習：本冊有145個生字和 261個常用生詞，生詞會說即可，生字能默寫。

5. 成語練習：選取 40-50 個 (學生需要能理解和語用，不要求讀寫) 。

3. Train students to read: be able to read texts fluently (without Chinese Pinyin).

4. Learning of new words: There are 145 new words and 261 related new phrases in this book. Only those who can speak the new words can memorize the new words.

5. Idiom practice: select 40-50 (students need to be able to understand and pragmatically, reading and writing are not required).
